Learn to Skate

We offer Learn to Skate USA classes for all levels and all ages (Age 2 through Adult).  Our classes provide fundamental grass root skills while creating a fun atmosphere.   Whether you hope to play hockey, advance as a figure skater, or just skate for fun, this is the place to start!

CURRENT SESSION - Classes full

WED: *February 28th - April 10th | 5:00 - 5:50 PM (6 weeks)

SAT: *March 2nd - April 13th | 9:00 - 9:50 AM (6 weeks)

*No Class during Spring Break: Wednesday, March 27th or Saturday, March 30th. No Class Saturday, March 16th due to hockey tournament; Makeup class will be Sunday, March 17th at 9am.

*Spring Mini-Session: Classes offered Wednesdays only during the spring as our club prepares for our annual Ice Show on Saturday, May 18th @ 11am & 5pm. All welcome to come enjoy the show! Tickets sold at the door.

NEW SKATERS

LTS USA Membership (REQUIRED)

All skaters are required to purchase Learn to Skate USA membership prior to the start of class. This membership renews annually on July 1st.  Please choose Livingston Skate Club as your affiliated club.  For further information regarding membership, see New LTS Members page.

Other Information

Learn to Skate class consists of 25 minutes of instruction by a certified Learn to Skate USA Coach and 25 minutes of monitored practice ice including fun & games.   

**Exception for SnowPlow Sam Classes (Ages 6 & under): The introductory Snowplow Sam 1 class is a parent/child class. Please notify us if you do not plan to attend class with your child so we can coordinate an assistant.

Snowplow Sam levels 2 and above do not require a parent on to accompany the child on the ice. 

All Snowplow Sam classes are 25 minutes in duration with a certified Learn to Skate USA Coach.  Snowplow classes do not include 25 minutes of practice ice, however practice ice can be purchased separately on the registration page.  The reduced ice time is reflected in the class cost.
